West Bromwich CTC has been meeting at Carters Green for Sunday Club rides since 27th March 1926. As a CTC club it is first and foremost a touring club, but over a number of years diversed into various aspects of cycling.
Some members choose to organise and participate in cycle tours ranging from weekends in Derbyshire to longer tours in the UK and overseas. Previous tours have included Land's Ends to John O'groats, West coast of Ireland, Inner and outer Hebrides, Pyrenees, Alps, Canadian Rockies, Morocco, Czech republic, Chile, Hungary and many other places.
Members looking for speed can Time trial - Individuals against the clock over distances of 10, 25, 50 miles and longer!!!

It you want something more challenging than the Sunday rides then you can try an Audax event (or several). These are not races but long distance endurance events ridden in a group or solo. These vary from 1 day events of 50, 100, 160, 200, 300 and 400 Km to weekend events of 600Km. Details of Audax events are available on club nights.
In Summer & Autumn we hold several club competitions - Time Trial, Off Road, Map Reading and Hill Climb. Trophies for these are awarded at our Annual Dinner & Dance held in November, along with awards for Best all Rounder, Points Competition and Cyclist of the Year.
Members are free to decide what they want out of the club be it just Sunday club rides or more challenging long distance events, tours or time trials - YOU CHOOSE!
