YOUNG RIDERS - WBCTC POLICY & CTC REQUIREMENTS
CTC - denotes CTC requirement,   CP - denotes WBCTC club policy (formulated by the committee)
CTC 1. Under 13's Must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian & consent form must be completed.
CTC 2. 13 - 18 Yrs living with Parents / Guardians consent form must be completed.
CTC 3. 16 - 18 Yrs Living as an independent Adult must provide evidence of this i.e. rent book / utility bill. Consent form is not required.
CP 4. Introduction of young riders' document must be discussed with parent / Guardian or 16-18 year old living as independent adult.
CP 5. Young riders must always be aaccompanied by 2 other members. Run's leader should determine who this will be on the day of the run (or before if possible). Does not apply to 16-18 year olds living independently.
CTC 6. Young riders must be accompanied home at the end of a run or to a pre-arranged meeting point with parents / Guardian. Does not apply to 16-18 year olds living independently.
CP 7. If a young rider turns up for a club run without a parent, or a prior introduction on club night they must be refused to participate in the club run.
CP 8 If a young rider turns up for a club run with a parent, but haven't previously been to a  club night they can only participate in the club run if the runs leader agrees. The runs leader must be satisfied that the rider appears capable and the bike in roadworthy condition. The parent must be informed of what is involved in a club run and make arrangements for the young rider getting home. The parent must also be requested to attend the next club night to complete a consent form.
